Commuter Information
Get Involved!
The Office of Student Engagement is dedicated to creating a vibrant campus community where every student has the opportunity to connect, grow, and make the most of their University experience.
Through campus-wide events, leadership opportunities, student organizations, and commuter-focused programming, we strive to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. Our Student Center serves as a central hub for campus life, featuring our brand-new, student-run Saxbys coffee shop, comfortable lounge and study spaces, and a stage for student performances, open mic nights, and campus events.
Whether you’re looking for a place to relax between classes, meet friends, study, or get involved, the Student Center is where campus community comes to life.
Commuter Assistants
To help guide and assist our commuter population, we have Commuter Assistants (CAs). They are upperclassmen commuter students who are involved in campus life and assist first-year commuter students to successfully integrate into the Mount community.
CAs advise first-year commuter students on how to transition to college while living at home, adjust to the demands of college academics, and commute efficiently. CAs provide programs for commuter students and encourage first-year commuter students to get involved in campus clubs and organizations.
