Hazing Information
The University of Mount Saint Vincent prohibits hazing in any form. The University’s complete hazing policy, including its definition of hazing and applicable disciplinary standards, is available in Section 6.1.13 of the Student Handbook.
Report Hazing
Individuals who witness, experience, or have knowledge of possible hazing are encouraged to report it promptly.
Reports may be made to:

Annual Hazing Statistics
The University reports qualifying hazing incidents as part of its Annual Security and Fire Safety Report in accordance with the Clery Act. For calendar year 2025, the University reported zero Clery Act hazing incidents.
New York State Hazing Law
New York State law addresses hazing under New York Penal Law §§120.16 and 120.17 and New York Education Law §6430.
Campus Hazing Transparency Report
The University of Mount Saint Vincent currently has no findings of responsibility involving an established or recognized student organization that require publication in a Campus Hazing Transparency Report.
