Welcome to the Mount!
Orientation is an exciting and important start to your experience as a new student at the Mount—you’ll learn about the resources and opportunities across our dynamic campus community, allowing you the chance to settle into college life before the Fall semester begins.
This year, we’ll be offering students the opportunity to engage with all things Mount Saint Vincent through virtual experiences and on-campus sessions. Whether you join us online or visit us in person, you’ll be able to meet new people, get accustomed to college life, and start building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Virtual Orientation: June 22, 24, 29 | July 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22
We invite all new Mount students to join us for our virtual Orientation sessions, which will be presented on various online platforms. You’ll learn about academic advising, meet your major, explore the numerous opportunities for student involvement outside the classroom, understand financial aid and scholarships, and much more! All virtual sessions will be led by Orientation Leaders, who will be able to answer all of your questions.
Stay tuned for a detailed session schedule—and feel free to attend as many virtual sessions as you’d like!
Orientation: July 27 to 30 | August 3 to 6
We’re excited to also have the opportunity to welcome new students on campus for Orientation! In accordance with social distancing guidelines permitted by the state, we are offering eight days of in-person sessions with limited availability. Each day will include a morning and afternoon session, so students are encouraged to register for a session that best fits their schedule. During Orientation, students will meet their Orientation Leaders, meet with academic advising, have their student ID photos taken, and much more.
Students are only required to attend one on-campus session and should only bring one family member/guardian for social distancing regulations.
And you don’t have to wait until Orientation to start learning about all about the Mount! We’ve pulled together some videos highlighting various frequently asked questions in our Orientation at a Glance section—check it out below:
