New Student Orientation & Welcome Weekend | August 22-25

We are excited to welcome the Class of 2028 to campus for New Student Orientation & Welcome Weekend. Over the course of these few days, the UMSV community will officially welcome all new students to campus and prepare them for the first day of classes!

August 22

New Resident Student Move-In Day
Students may begin arriving at 8:30 AM and must go to Benedict’s, located on the first floor of Founders Hall, to check in. Please note that all students must be financially cleared in order to get keys to the residence halls. After checking in, students will be directed to the Alumnae parking lot to unload all items. Staff will be on hand to assist.

Commuter Student Check-In | 2-4 PM | Founders Hall, Second Floor
We welcome all new commuter students to join us on campus to check in and get their UMSV ID card, meet your Commuter Assistants, and get all important commuter life information.

Parent & Family Farewell Social | 3:15 PM | Seton Hall Patio
Join President Burns and the UMSV community as we say goodbye to all families and toast to the beginning of the school year!

Welcome Weekend Kickoff | 4 PM | Hayes Auditorium

Welcome BBQ | 5 PM | Great Lawn
